Appearance

Pale lavender skin sets off Kyameran's asymmetrical, off-kilter design, which reads like fashion illustration fused with concept art. Blue hair spills well past her shoulders, cooling the tone of a bold purple-and-black outfit: a one-shoulder top padded heavily on the left, high-legged bottoms, plus a belt-style band drawn snug at the waist. Color-blocking divides her limbs, the left arm and leg drenched in deep purple while the right arm is left bare. Centered on her chest is a striking gold brooch, and her feet are shod in angular, strapped black shoes.

Personality

As Nephrite's operative, Kyameran is a predatory schemer who hides behind the glamour of photography. Her signature weapon is the Shutter Attack, in which an eyeball forms on her palm and fires white energy bolts that make her targets vanish, seemingly banished to a separate dimension.

History

The scheme centers on Kijin Shinokawa, a prize-winning photographer whose national contest victory turns him into an overnight celebrity. Nephrite, after rescuing him from a cliffside fall during a sunset shoot, plants his evil crest inside the camera, seeding Kyameran there. The possessed Kijin then hunts energy by photographing lively young women and launches a model contest, drawing in Usagi, Naru, and hundreds of hopefuls. Luna grows suspicious once she watches five women disappear into another dimension, their energy siphoned off for Queen Metalia. Warned at last, Usagi transforms and knocks the camera into a pool, at which point Kyameran materializes. She traps her foes with the Shutter Attack until Sailor Mercury and Sailor Mars lend aid, yet her speed deflects every counter. Cornered before a mirror, Sailor Moon dupes the creature into aiming at the glass; the reflected blast rebounds onto Kyameran and saps her strength, and Moon Tiara Action finishes her. Every captured victim returns as the model quest is called off.
