Evangelion Mark.04C

Evangelion Mark.04C is the largest of the autonomous Nemesis Series drones introduced in Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo, deployed against WILLE's naval fleet and above all its flagship, the AAA Wunder.

The unit takes the form of an enormous disc ringed by thirty-two shoulder pylons on each face, with sixteen cores embedded per side. Eight metal tentacles extend from an octagonal hub at the center, each divided into four segments that can separate at the tips, their texture recalling the arms of Zeruel from the original television series. Top and underside mirror one another exactly, doubling the count of every component.

A Mark.04C announces itself as a pillar of light: a red, cross-shaped column of energy studded with orange eye-like growths that annihilates whatever touches it. The units themselves lurk underwater, anchored in place by projected A.T. Fields, though sufficient force can drag one to the surface. In the film, a group of them springs this trap on the WILLE fleet and seizes the Wunder's wings with their tentacles as the ship climbs skyward. The Wunder's own A.T. Field halts the assault, and its rail guns pour enough fire into the drones to shatter every last core, the only way to truly finish one given how many each carries. Like its siblings, the type is last seen in Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon A Time when Gendo's Spear of Gaius unmakes every Evangelion in existence.

The Mark.04C operates entirely without a pilot. WILLE refers to the type by the name Nemesis Series, and its wavelength registers as "approximately blue" on operator readouts, distinguishing it from a genuine Angel pattern.
