Sengoku

Black hair tops Sengoku's heavyset, thickly built frame. His most telling feature is an oversized mouth, and he tends to loll his tongue out whenever he believes the advantage has swung his way.

Sengoku is a slimy, lecherous man whose idea of collecting a debt runs to demanding Azusa submit to him as a twisted form of repayment. That smug confidence shows physically, since he lets his tongue hang out whenever he thinks he holds the upper hand.

The debt at the center of his scheme predates the story. Azusa's husband borrowed heavily from Sengoku and died before settling up, at which point the loan shark turned his attention to the widow.

The morning after a quartet of assassins and Korosensei clear out of her bar, Sengoku corners Azusa there, shoving her daughter Hotaru into a rack of glassware before marching the mother off to his office to talk terms. He pressures her into signing a binding contract that would let him assault her as payment. The four assassins storm the building first and flatten his men. Sengoku bluffs that the yakuza back him and that the paperwork is legitimate, but one of the hunters points out that the mob would leave him holding the blame in court and that every clause is illegal, forcing him to admit defeat and release her.
