Maina Furasu belongs to U.A.'s Support Department in Class 1-H, and nothing about her suggests a girl who would volunteer for a war. She signs on anyway, spending the fight against All For One's army keeping the U.A. Floating Fortress in one piece while it comes apart around her.
A headband gathers Maina's dark brown hair into a ponytail at the back, blue bells sitting at either side of it. Two ornaments rise from the band itself: a flat screw head to the left and a screwdriver tip to the right. Her eyes are wide, her build unremarkable, and the Support Department dress code puts her in the plain beige coveralls used across U.A.'s workshops.
Timidity defines her. Set beside a classmate like Mei Hatsume she has none of the volume and none of the push, and she startles easily. Even so, she was judged worth bringing into the Final War, where the enemy was an army under All For One, which says something about her that her manner does not.
Crisis makes other people's behavior look bizarre to her, and she says so; the sight of Business Course students calmly filming a documentary while the world burned struck her as indefensible. What she has instead of nerve is diligence. She takes her assigned role seriously and makes certain the work gets done.
Combat is not hers. She has none of Mei's experience in a fight, but the Support Course does not admit the slow, and her place there speaks for her intelligence.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

There are no women on Namek. That isn't an oversight, it's the biology. Why we handed Piccolo the one thing his own species rules out, and why it had to be trap soul....
With Tomura Shigaraki's completion drawing close, the heroes committed to a plan to finish the villains permanently. All For One had been watching them through Search using Yuga Aoyama as his mole, so Yuga and his family were turned into bait to draw him out, while Kurogiri's Warp Gate would drop the heroes into position and simultaneously fling the enemy to points all over Japan, splitting them apart.
The scattering worked, and Tomura landed inside the U.A. Fortress now hanging in the sky, purpose-built to hold and break him. Maina and the rest of the Support students drew the job of maintaining the structure, with Momo Yaoyorozu supplying whatever they needed. It was there she found the Business Course students recording the battle and laid into them for it, only to be told that every past war had been documented, that promoting heroes and bridging the gap to the wider public was their assignment, and that three years of study had led to exactly this.
The situation collapsed when a freed Kurogiri warped himself to Eraser Head and Neito Monoma and attacked to break their Erasure on Tomura. The explosion that followed took out most of the fortress. With the power line severed and the electromagnetic barrier barely holding, the students fought a losing repair battle, and then Mandalay reported that someone had breached their systems and taken the flight controls, sending the fortress into a fall. It was aimed at a coastal city when it simply stopped in midair, Mandalay describing the air as having turned into a trampoline, the work of Gentle and his Elasticity.
After the war, Maina advanced a year into Class 2-H.
