During the Cursed Warrior Extermination Mission, Chishima pushed to bring Konohagakure into the effort even after Toki, disguised as Sagi, brushed the offer of help aside. His own digging exposed the deceit of Hoki, and though one of the impostor's strikes came within a breath of killing him, he pulled through and relayed what he had uncovered to Toki and Naruto.
