Sagi was the elder of twin siblings born to Owashi and the rightful heir to the Land of Birds. His mysterious death set his sister Toki on a long path of vengeance, and even after he was gone his lingering spirit continued to watch over her and the people of his homeland.
Sagi kept his blackish-purple hair at jaw length, framing a face shaped like a heart. His eyes were dark and his eyebrows thin, and he dressed in the daimyo finery particular to the Land of Birds.
Warmth defined Sagi, both toward Toki and toward the whole of the Land of Birds. He treasured life deeply, a trait his spirit demonstrated by twice stepping in to spare Naruto and his sister from harm. Those who had known him, Chishima among them, remembered a bright and gentle young man.

As children Sagi and Toki were inseparable, sharing their days with a close friend named Chishima. After Sagi's death, his spirit appeared to stop his grieving sister from taking her own life, pressing into her hands a pocket watch frozen at the moment of his passing. Toki vowed to make that time move again by exposing whoever was behind his suspicious end, disguising herself and ruling as daimyo in his place to hunt the culprit. His name, like those of his father and sister, alludes to a bird, echoing the Japanese word for heron.
