History

A responsible boy who stays loyal to those around him, Dōshu came up through the Academy in the same generation as Boruto Uzumaki, and he was among the classmates left stunned when Boruto barrelled a train into the Hokage Monument on ceremony day. His graduation hinged on a bell test against Kakashi Hatake, where the students, following Boruto's scheme, snared the Sixth Hokage in a group String Light Formation, and although no one claimed the bell, Kakashi passed them all for grasping the exercise's real lesson about trust. He then landed on Team 40 beside Enko Onikuma and Tsuru Itoi.

The squad chased the thieving Byakuya Gang, stumbled early out of the Chūnin Exams after tumbling into ink, and hit a rough patch when Enko's power injured their jōnin and Ibiki Morino moved to break the team apart. With help from Boruto, Sarada, and Mitsuki, Dōshu and Tsuru learned to see past their fear of Enko, reaching her in a moment of loneliness and earning the team's reinstatement, after which Dōshu began medical training so the group would always field a healer. Later he honoured the war dead at a memorial service and joined a fresh round of Chūnin Exams under Naruto, clearing the first test before a sand pit in the Forest of Death ended his second.
