Giant Squid
CharacterThe Giant Squid is an enormous cephalopod that stood watch over Genbu, the island turtle where the Fourth Raikage and Killer B once trained. Fiercely territorial, it lashed out at anything nearing the turtle, then met its end against the reptilian summon Manda II.

The animal has the bulk and shape of an outsized squid, its body tinted a pale pink. Its eyes are ringed in dark yellow around wide black pupils.

Its long, massive tentacles do the fighting, coiling around and pinning whatever it grabs. The hold is strong enough to trap even seasoned shinobi with little effort. Its temperament suits its role as a guardian: dutiful yet hostile, it turned on any intruder near the Island Turtle, sparing not even ninja from Kumogakure.

History
When a Kumogakure vessel carrying Naruto and his escorts reached the island, the squid struck at it, only for Killer B, shifted into his Eight-Tails form, to stop it. It next went after Motoi, who had come searching for Naruto; Yamato and Naruto moved to help, but B again reached him first. Later the squid ran into Manda II as the giant snake tried to slip onto the island for Kabuto Yakushi. It took the serpent head-on and was overpowered, torn to pieces and left with a great bite mark in its skull.
