Envy drives Hakkaku, a chef-ninja out of the Land of Lightning, into crime. Coveting the fabled Phantom recipe of the ramen master Teuchi, he stoops to abducting the chef's own daughter in an effort to force the secret out of him.
Long, greyish hair frames Hakkaku's face, and his black eyes are small.
Greed and jealousy define Hakkaku. Resentful of Teuchi's talent, he is willing to seize innocents to get what he wants, and he is left bitterly deflated on learning that the recipe he coveted never truly existed.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

Naruto built the transformation jutsu himself, and the Hidden Leaf has been quietly not talking about it ever since. The story behind our 90s R&B record about the Naruko question everybody dodges....
Hakkaku studied at the very academy where Teuchi once trained, and in the years that followed he grew into an accomplished chef in his own right, serving food so addictive that anyone who tasted it could not stop and ballooned in size. Even so, the acclaim around Teuchi's legendary Phantom recipe gnawed at him. Turned away when he asked to be taught it, he and his fellow cooking-nin snatched Teuchi's daughter Ayame, leaving a note and a snapshot of her bound up, and vowing to return her if the recipe changed hands. When the deadline arrived, his concealed ninja blocked Teuchi from reaching Ayame's voice, and Hakkaku forced a ramen showdown between his cooks and the chef. With Sakura Haruno, Choji Akimichi, and Naruto Uzumaki pitching in, Teuchi came out on top. The Phantom recipe proved a myth all along, merely a trick for stripping the bitterness from the broth. Hakkaku released Ayame, by then fattened on his cooking, to her father's dismay. His name can be read as either detection or octagon.
