Hōki (Takumi)

A slim face and a pronounced jawline defined Hōki, marked by a dark line tracing the lower rims of his eyes and brown hair combed back. He wore a light beige forehead protector stamped with the Takumi Village crest, a purple jacket matching the rest of the Four Celestial Symbols Men, and kept a white sword slung across his back.

Hōki carried himself with real confidence in his own skill, though he bristled easily and had a short fuse. His commitment to the cause ran to the extreme, and he was ready to give up his own life to see Seimei revived.

A shrewd strategist who thought several moves ahead, Hōki specialized in bladed weapons and could fend off both Naruto and Gaara at once. His signature was an unnamed black longsword that spat and steered vast amounts of fire to burn through anything in its path, and like Seimei he could fuse the group's legendary tools into a single weapon with floating orbs that granted flight.

During the Sunagakure Support Mission, his band abducted Matsuri, Gaara's student, to reach the Shukaku power needed to resurrect Seimei, the Takumi Village's founder. In the clash that followed, he summoned the weapons of his fallen comrades and hurled their combined force at Gaara, who, low on chakra and out of sand, was soon overwhelmed. Naruto stepped in but could not withstand the assembled might either, and as Hōki moved to finish him, Gaara spent his last chakra to shield him. Turning back, Hōki trapped Gaara in a sphere that drained what remained of his chakra, then poured his own body and life force into reviving Seimei. The draining, however, tipped Gaara into his Shukaku form, and he killed Seimei, an act that ended Hōki's life as well.
