Appearance

A thin moustache sat above Ikkaku's lip, and he gathered his brown hair into a ponytail behind his head, framing a pair of dark eyes. For duty he dressed in the ordinary gear of a Leaf ninja, wearing a forehead protector and a flak jacket over mesh armour that showed just past the ends of his sleeves. A sizeable scroll was strapped across the small of his back.

Personality

Those who watched him during the fox's attack saw a strict yet deeply affectionate man. He refused to let his own child stand in a war zone, insisting the danger was his to bear, all while throwing himself into shielding both his family and his home.

History

When the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox tore through Konoha, Kohari was wounded while covering Ikkaku, and he took charge of watching over her, reasoning that protecting a child is a parent's task rather than the other way around. He ordered Iruka to run, but the boy would not obey and had to be pulled from the fighting by other shinobi. Both Ikkaku and his wife were slain by the beast that night, and their names were later carved into the village's Memorial Stone. His given name is a word for the narwhal.
