Nine-Tailed Naruto Clone

When it first takes shape the clone looks almost exactly like Naruto in his four-tailed Version 2 transformation, the only differences being its eyes and mouth, which glow a dark red. Draw enough of Kurama's chakra into itself and it swells into a towering copy of the fox, though the cloak of chakra keeps the ragged look of the Version 2 state. Strip that cloak away, as happens after it clashes with the real Naruto, and a reptilian Naruto is exposed underneath, its skin darkened and reduced to a single tail. Later, after it drinks in the might of the Ama no Hoko, the creature balloons into a huge reptilian likeness of Kurama with eight tails and murkier chakra, each tail capped by a dragon-like head so that the whole beast recalls the many-headed Yamata no Orochi.

At the outset the clone behaves like a savage animal, echoing the frenzy Naruto shows in his own Version 2 form. It fixates on Naruto in particular, instinctively pulling Kurama's chakra out of him before tearing off on a rampage and later trying to kill him outright once it tracks him down. It can even speak, voicing a hunger for still more of Kurama's strength. Once it takes in the Ama no Hoko's power, whatever reason it had falls away and it reverts to acting purely as a beast.

Everything Naruto could do in his Version 2 state carried over to the clone. It moved and hit with startling force, closing on Sakura Haruno in a blink and flooring her with one punch, and it ran circles around both Might Guy and Rock Lee in close combat, driving the master and pupil to open the Eight Gates just to answer it. Even then it shrugged off their reinforced blows, and its roars alone loosed devastating shock waves. Its toughness only failed against Naruto in Sage Mode, whose Frog Kata peeled the chakra cloak clean off. Feeding on more of Kurama's chakra turned the clone into a giant image of the fox, a shade smaller than the original but strong enough to flatten whole city blocks with a single swipe and to hurl a Tailed Beast Ball capable of blasting through a small mountain. Unlike Kurama it stayed upright on two legs, and once the borrowed chakra ran dry it shrank back to its four-tailed shape.

The horror began when Naruto, mid-fight with Kabuto Yakushi, unwittingly swallowed a swarm of the medic's engineered snakes, which fed on Kurama's chakra as the fox tried to flush them out. Miina sensed the intruders and helped expel them, but the serpents then assembled into a Version 2 duplicate of Naruto. Kabuto's attempt to seize control with a talisman failed, and the clone knocked Sakura out cold before turning on Naruto. Reinforcements from several Konoha teams could not damage it, and after siphoning still more of Kurama's chakra it grew into the fox-shaped giant and levelled much of Hachō Village with a Tailed Beast Ball. Captured and bound by Kabuto, it was loosed again as the Ama no Hoko activated, only to be beaten down by Naruto's Sage Mode. It then tumbled into the collapsing device and rose transformed into a colossal eight-headed, Orochi-like monstrosity, seven of its dragon heads serving as tails that could clamp onto foes and spit powerful chakra beams. It even survived having its main head torn away, trading blows with Naruto across his incomplete Tailed Beast Mode and a Kurama-driven Version 2 form. In the end Naruto shook off the fox's influence, slipped into an incomplete Nine-Tails Chakra Mode, and finished the clone with an incomplete Tailed Beast Rasengan.
