Kusune

A purple wrap conceals Kusune's entire face and head, leaving only a narrow gap for his eyes. Those eyes are small and black, and his hair is taken to be black as well since his eyebrows share the shade. His black ninja outfit has had the sleeves ripped away at the shoulders, exposing a black mesh short-sleeved layer trimmed with dark lining around each arm hole. Slim black bands sit on both forearms just shy of the wrists, and he keeps the Tsurukame gripped in his right hand.

Kusune tends to size up foes by their looks and write them off too quickly, yet he still pegs Naruto Uzumaki and Neji Hyuga as dangerous at close quarters and decides that keeping his distance is the wiser course against them. Brash and sure of himself, he chases powerful new armaments wherever he can find them. He holds Konoha in low regard, arguing that Orochimaru's assault left the nation so feeble that he and Gameru slipped across its border without any resistance.

Wielding the Tsurukame, Kusune fights in a shield-oriented style that lets him hold off several attackers at once, and the tool can spit out volleys of senbon along with other implements. He also grasps the basics of sealing, tucking the weapon away through fuinjutsu whenever it is idle. Alongside Gameru he approaches Io to request ninja tools, but the craftsman refuses to hand his work to outsiders. When Naruto and Neji take the pair on, Io's prototype gadgets keep the fight at a deadlock, and Kusune and Gameru are finally beaten once Tenten deploys Io's newest creation, the Jidanda.
