Saō
CharacterSaō is a chūnin of Konohagakure who keeps watch over the village's main gate. In a fight he leans on Water Release and a bō staff. He was among the guards ambushed during the hunt for Mitsuki and later pledged to screen everyone passing the gate.
Appearance
A large nose sits between Saō's moustache and beard. He knots his forehead protector bandanna-style and wears the flak jacket standard to Konoha's ninja.

Saō reaches for Water Release in battle, and with it he can lock down a foe's movement using the Water Release: Starch Syrup Capturing Field. He also carries a bō staff into the fight.

History
Stationed with Uō at Konoha's main entrance during the hunt for Mitsuki, Saō was ambushed before dawn by two intruders and Mitsuki himself, an attack that left both guards comatose and hospitalized. Later, back on gate duty, the pair were caught off guard when the Hokage arrived weighing whether to seal the entrance in the face of Kara's spies.
