Shamo is a young Iwagakure shinobi who becomes one of Boruto's fellow captives during a deadly string of trials. Kind but easily rattled, he leans on Earth Release and his companions to survive, all while hoping to make his grandmother proud.
Three small freckles dot each of Shamo's cheeks beneath a pair of dark green eyes. His brown hair is cropped short, with a spiky tuft rising at the front. For clothing he favors a dark red vest layered over a white long-sleeved shirt, finished with a little red bandanna at the throat. Matching red shorts carry a shuriken holster on the right leg, and he rounds out the look with black sandals and a stretchy red Iwagakure forehead protector.
Warm and easy to approach, Shamo greets Boruto by offering to free a stuck window on the Thunder Train, brushing off the injury he gives himself in the attempt. For a trained shinobi he frightens easily, and he is quick to call for help whenever danger appears. He is gullible too, especially where a pretty face is concerned, and readily chases a girl's approval. Shamo freely admits he lacks the makings of a hero and settles instead for being reliable backup. Above all he wants to make his grandmother proud, and he carries a photograph of her wherever he goes. A careless streak surfaces often, whether he is throwing a switch on a guess or blurting out a valuable card he should have kept hidden.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

Naruto built the transformation jutsu himself, and the Hidden Leaf has been quietly not talking about it ever since. The story behind our 90s R&B record about the Naruko question everybody dodges....
Shamo grows up in Iwagakure under his grandmother's care, giving her no small amount of grief along the way. His combat style leans on Earth Release, which he shapes into protective walls, jutting stone spikes, and rolling waves of ground, and he is physically sturdy enough to hoist someone larger than himself.
His story unfolds during the Labyrinth Game Arc, which opens when he meets Boruto aboard the Thunder Train and fails to unjam a window. Every passenger dozes off and wakes trapped inside a sealed chamber run by the captor Oga, who forces the group through a series of deadly trials. Boruto twice keeps Shamo from plunging off an unstable platform in the first test. Later challenges tie each participant's life to a burning candle, and Shamo carries a girl through a flooded stretch, shields non-shinobi from a dust storm with his own body when his earth wall gives out, and watches that same girl abandon him for Rokuro. The captives survive a treacherous elevator only because Boruto fuses their candle stubs into a single shared flame.
Further tests pit the group against a descending, spike-lined ceiling and a card game requiring numbers that total seven, during which Rokuro takes Shamo hostage before turning murderous. The whole ordeal proves to be an elaborate genjutsu staged while the passengers lie in suspended animation, with the girl Yatsume revealed as Oga herself. Once she frees everyone, Shamo hands Boruto a final letter from Oga, only to be teased when Boruto refuses to share what it says.
