Shigure

Brown hair, short and spiky, sits above a band of gauze wrapped across Shigure's forehead, and stitches partly seal the right side of his mouth. A pair of scars climb his cheek; one blinded his right eye, so he keeps that lid shut at all times. On his back he hauls an oxygen tank plus a sheath that holds his umbrellas.

Arrogant, presumptuous, and restless, Shigure badly misjudges Gaara, convinced the Sand ninja poses no threat to him. His pride in Amegakure runs deep, so when Gaara belittles the village, anger flares in him. Even so, he holds his composure until the fighting actually starts, then throws himself at Gaara.

Akamaru's reaction hints that Shigure holds potent chakra. His umbrellas launch a rain of senbon from overhead, each needle steered by his own chakra so a target finds nowhere to hide. He has spilled plenty of blood with this trick despite his genin rank, and Ame expected him to clear the Chunin Exams. During those exams he and his team ran up against the Three Sand Siblings; certain of victory, he went for Gaara's scroll and loosed his Senbon Shower, only for Gaara's sand to block it. Gaara then trapped the whole squad in his Sand Binding Coffin and crushed them to death.
