Suiren

Suiren's long, dark green hair spills from under a forehead protector tied bandanna-style. A black mask hides most of her narrow face, leaving only her pale purple eyes in view. She dresses in a light purple poncho thrown over a violet kimono, cinched by a brown-orange sash, with bandaging wound around her hands and arms.

Water Release anchors Suiren's arsenal; where the surroundings hold enough water, she raises a drizzle to mask where she stands. She is a talented sensor, tapped by Konan in person to seek out a jinchūriki over the course of the Chūnin Exams, and her reading is precise enough to map exactly how an opponent's body is turned. Her umbrella pulls double duty, blocking taijutsu one moment and unleashing a flurry of senbon the next. When staying alive calls for it, she will even aid ninja from rival villages.

Once Nagato seizes Amegakure, Suiren's team heads to Konohagakure for an early Chūnin Exams jointly hosted with Sunagakure. Konan orders them to keep Hanzō's death quiet and to log any shinobi whose chakra runs unusually high. Scattered into separate rooms for the written portion, the team relies on Suiren's sensing to coordinate their answers, and Neji Hyūga's wall-tapping scheme carries everyone through; they also spot the loyalty test hidden in the final question. Among the first thirty teams to reach Sunagakure, they push into the desert stage and search for a jinchūriki, brushing past Team Komugi and Team Guy. When the ground caves in and swallows Ajisai and Tenten, Suiren and Fuyō abandon the fight to rescue their own, later joining forces with the Konoha ninja to free everyone. Konan afterward raises the squad to chūnin and dispatches them on an S-rank mission, where Ajisai is killed; whether Suiren lives through it is never revealed.
