Suzumebachi

Suzumebachi's brown hair reaches her shoulders, one loose strand slipping down the right of her face and drifting just barely over that eye. Her eyes are steel-grey, marked with orange at the corners, and her brows are drawn very thin. She wears what looks like a reworked purple kimono dress trimmed in red, ties a yellow sash at her waist, and lets her thigh-length stockings run straight into her sandals.

Little troubles Suzumebachi's conscience when she wants something. Catching sight of the Leaf ninja tracking the bikōchū, she writes them off as feeble genin and coolly resolves to let them do the finding before she snatches the beetle away. What burns deepest in her is loathing for the Aburame clan, whom she holds responsible for the Kamizuru's downfall, and that grudge hardens into a vow to kill everyone tied to Shino no matter how things play out. Nothing deters her from restoring her clan's honour, not even abducting Hinata to use as bait. For all that, she can respect grit, privately owning that it impresses her to watch Hinata keep drilling deep into the night.

Skill and know-how earn Suzumebachi the lead of her little band on the hunt, and she fights like a trickster, springing traps built from honey clones and explosive tags to finish off the unwary. As a Kamizuru, her whole approach centres on bees: she calls up swarms that melt into sticky honey when struck down, fires their stingers like darts, and summons a giant queen that spits honey at those she faces. She can make her insects erupt in a bursting blast, and their stings carry a venom that drops a target into sleep within moments. She also commands camouflage techniques and, being a shinobi of the Stone with a natural bent for Earth Release, can raise a hive of rock to draw enemies inside.

Chasing after their grandfather's forbidden scroll, Suzumebachi and her brothers Jibachi and Kurobachi venture into a forest, aiming to catch a bikōchū that can trace the scroll by its scent. Spotting Shino, Kiba, Hinata, and Naruto, they hang back to let the young team locate the beetle first, then move to take it, and Suzumebachi abducts Hinata for leverage. Her scheme falls apart when Hinata answers with the Protecting version of the Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms, crushing the Giant Bee; only Suzumebachi survives the blow. Her last swing at vengeance, calling out one more Giant Bee, ends the instant Naruto's Rasengan lays her low.
