Tonton

A pale pink piglet much like any other in colour, Tonton shows cheeks tinted a slightly deeper shade of the same hue. She is never without her pearl collar and a dark red jacket.

Loyalty is Tonton's defining trait; she is a devoted, dutiful pet who fixed her attention on Tsunade during the Sannin's clash while Gamakichi and Gamatatsu squabbled nearby. That same earnestness pushed her to lug oversized crates around the medical camp in the great war until she sprained a foot. She uses no human speech, getting her meaning across through her own tones of oinking, which Tsunade and Shizune somehow understand, and her nose is keen enough that even Pakkun knows her by reputation.

Tonton's sense of smell is said to outmatch even a ninken's, and she has spared Tsunade from debt collectors countless times by scenting them early, once steering Shizune, Jiraiya, and Naruto straight to Tsunade during a fight. In the anime she even managed a Transformation into Tsunade's likeness, though she still could not speak. She travelled at Shizune and Tsunade's side during the search that crossed paths with Orochimaru and Kabuto, and in the anime she helped hunt escapees from Konoha's correctional facility before Pakkun took over the tracking.

She was in Shizune's arms when Naruto learned of Tsunade's supposed death, and later panicked comically when Shizune mistook Tsunade's wish to regain stamina for a plan to eat her. Throughout the Fourth Shinobi World War she stayed with the Logistical Support and Medical Division, introduced pointedly as not being food, and overworked herself carrying crates until her right front leg was hurt and Shizune had to tend to it.
