Appearance

Light skin, blond hair, and grey eyes give Yurui his features, and like his hero Killer B he sports a bull-horn tattoo on the left cheek, a nod to Gyuki's missing left horn. He dresses in the standard Kumo flak jacket over loose white trousers, tops it with a white forehead protector, and wraps bandages up his arms and over the backs of his hands. A pendant shaped like Gyuki's head hangs from him, and a pair of blades ride across his back.

Personality

Conceited and quick to sneer, Yurui treats Konoha's ninja as beneath him and loudly touts Kumogakure's superiority. He mocks anyone he judges lesser and leaps to snap conclusions, branding Boruto weak without ever having watched him fight or knowing he was the Hokage's son. A pushy streak shows when he tries to muscle Boruto and Sarada out of a booth they already occupied. Above all he idolizes Killer B.

Abilities

Rated an elite operative and a tactician, Yurui cultivates a sloppy, careless air to lull opponents into underestimating him. His signature weapon is the wad of gum he perpetually chews: from it he launches sticky rounds to pin down a foe or inflates enormous bubbles that either cage an enemy or burst into explosions. The two swords slung on his back point to training in blade work as well.

He entered the Chunin Exams alongside his teammates. When the opening quiz turned out to be a trap, his bubbles lifted his squad clear of the ink pit and spared them elimination. In the second stage against Team 15, he struck at Wasabi Izuno and Sumire Kakei, opening the way for his teammate Toroi to seize their flag. The tournament round paired him with Boruto Uzumaki, and Yurui pressed the advantage by spawning a cluster of volatile bubbles. His run ended when Boruto, aided by the Shinobi Gauntlet, flung a shuriken that popped a bubble against Yurui's face, triggering a blast that knocked him out.
