Killer B

Broad and heavily muscled, B has deep brown skin, a goatee, and pale hair drawn back over dark oval shades. Two tattoos advertise his bond with his beast: the kanji for iron on his right shoulder, marking the seal that binds Gyūki, and a single bull's horn inked on his left cheek. He fights in Kumogakure's one shoulder flak jacket over a scarf, with a red cord knotted at his waist, the standard guards, and shinobi sandals. He once carried seven blades on his back but now keeps only two, stowing the rest inside Samehada.

Loud, boastful, and utterly sure of himself, B takes fierce pride in his strength and refuses to let his jinchūriki status shrink him. He insists on being addressed as Lord Jinchūriki and his beast as Lord Eight-Tails, and he pours that ego into rap, scribbling rhymes even in the thick of battle or during solemn meetings. The verses are usually terrible, which grates on everyone nearby, yet he will tolerate no mockery of his craft. Only his brother the Raikage can rein him in.

Beneath the bluster he is loyal and warm. He shouldered the burden of hosting Gyūki so his brother's standing would not suffer, never resenting the villagers who once shunned him, and he holds no grudge against Motoi, who tried to kill him in their youth. He greets friends with a fist bump, a gesture that doubles as a way to read and share feelings. He respects genuine skill wherever he finds it, admiring Yugito and praising Sasuke after their clash, and he owns a soft spot for older women that even Gyūki finds exasperating. In time he grows into a steady mentor, guiding Naruto toward mastering the Nine-Tails.

As Kumogakure's guardian, B ranks among its most fearsome shinobi, once routing the whole of Taka by himself. His command over Gyūki is nearly total, a genuine partnership rather than a leash, letting him slip through Version 1 and 2 shrouds and into full Tailed Beast Mode without losing his mind. In that state he can loose volleys of Tailed Beast Balls, whip up whirlwinds by spinning the beast's tentacles, and regrow any tentacle he loses. Drawing on Gyūki's octopus nature, he also spits ink to blind foes, pen lyrics, or form clones that pin and seal a target.

His fighting is built on unpredictable, dance like footwork he calls Disturbance Taijutsu, laced with wrestling throws in place of orthodox strikes. Paired with A he can perform the Double Lariat, and by the war his raw power had outstripped even his brother's. His swordwork is stranger still: in the style he names Acrobat he wedges blades between his arms, legs, neck, and mouth, hacking from angles no opponent can predict before impaling them at a vital point. After Samehada bonded to him, he folded its chakra draining edge into that arsenal. He wields lightning, fire, water, and yang chakra, and can vibrate lightning through a blade, or even a pencil, hard enough to punch through solid wood. For all his clowning he is sharp and deceptive, skilled enough in sealing to weigh one binding against another, and able to sense a person's heart through a single touch.
