As Naruto wrestles his darker self at the Falls of Truth, Motoi recounts how a shunned Killer B rose above hatred, and B proves it by saving the very man who once tried to kill him.
Battling his own shadow at the Falls of Truth, Naruto turns to Motoi to learn how Killer B mastered his dark side. Given how much peace hinges on Naruto controlling the Nine-Tails, Motoi agrees and, with Yamato listening, lays out B's history. His father Furui was killed when the Eight-Tails ran wild after its former host lost the reins, and B was picked as the replacement jinchuriki, then treated as an outcast. Blaming the beast for his father's death, Motoi turned that hatred onto B and twice came at him with a kunai. The first time B seemed to notice; the second, Motoi instead watched villagers hurl eggs at B, who only grinned and shrugged it off.
Naruto steps away to be alone, and the Giant Squid ambushes the others, snatching Motoi. Yamato locks it down with his Wood Release: Smothering Binding Technique. Naruto holds back, convinced the squid is B in his Eight-Tails form venting on Motoi, but the real B arrives and puts the creature away quickly. When Motoi asks why B would rescue a man who once meant to kill him, B answers that he remembers none of it, only the good years spent growing up with the person he calls his best friend. They trade a fist-bump, and Naruto picks up B's rapping speech tic while B mirrors him in turn.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

Naruto built the transformation jutsu himself, and the Hidden Leaf has been quietly not talking about it ever since. The story behind our 90s R&B record about the Naruko question everybody dodges....
Set during the Fourth Shinobi World War: Countdown arc, the episode adapts chapters 493 and 494. Its heart is the flashback that reframes B not as a monster to fear but as someone who chose warmth over grudges.
Killer B and Motoi is episode 244 of Naruto: Shippuden, set during the Fourth Shinobi World War: Countdown arc. It adapts manga chapters 493 and 494.
Killer B calls Motoi his best friend, recalling only the good years they spent growing up together rather than the times Motoi tried to kill him. The two share a fist-bump after B explains this.
Motoi's father Furui was killed when the Eight-Tails ran wild under its previous host, and B was chosen as the replacement jinchuriki. Motoi blamed the beast for his father's death and turned that hatred onto B, twice attacking him with a kunai.
A Giant Squid ambushes the group and snatches Motoi while Naruto is away, and Yamato binds it with his Wood Release: Smothering Binding Technique. The real Killer B then arrives and quickly defeats the creature to save Motoi.
Motoi's account shows Naruto how Killer B rose above being treated as an outcast and blamed for his father's death, choosing warmth over grudges instead of giving in to hatred. This lesson is meant to help Naruto control his own darker side at the Falls of Truth.
