The New Seven Ninja Swordsmen!!

Gathering up the last of the stored blades, Shizuma's followers trip a set of guardian puppets and cut them apart with their new weapons. When Kagura doubts that owning the swords is enough to topple a government, Shizuma admits he is backed by figures tied to the Land of Water's daimyō, men unhappy with Chōjūrō's restrained rule. His endgame is to seat Kagura as Mizukage once the uprising succeeds, restoring Yagura's bloodline to power over a village he insists once rejected its own.

Studying the taunt left behind at the vault, Chōjūrō works out that Shizuma manipulated Kagura into surrendering the key. He orders the affair kept quiet, but authorises lethal force should the group harm any civilians. Boruto and Sarada catch up to the two leaders, with Boruto pleading that Kagura only cooperated to protect him. Chōjūrō counters that a shinobi understands the price of breaking the rules.

Boruto proposes framing the whole thing as a squabble between reckless children, and when Mei objects, he hints he could exaggerate his injury into a diplomatic incident. Chōjūrō relents, agreeing to let the young pair intervene provided he goes with them and they wrap it up within a set window. Elsewhere, Iwabee grows suspicious of Boruto's daytime disappearance, while Boruto and Sarada lean on Denki to cover for them, a request Shikadai and Inojin refuse to let slide.

Mitsuki reveals to Suigetsu that he knows he is being shadowed, and Suigetsu relays word that Mitsuki should stay clear so no link between them reaches Kirigakure. Choosing his own path, Mitsuki accepts a scroll from Suigetsu after the exchange gives him an idea. When Shizuma's crew moves to wreck the memorial, Boruto, Sarada, and Chōjūrō interrupt them. Shizuma raises a barrier, Hebiichigo pins Chōjūrō with wire, and Ichirōta shatters the ground beneath Sarada with Shibuki. As the enemy swarms Chōjūrō, the thick mist keeps Boruto from spotting Kagura closing in.

The episode belongs to the Boruto anime's School Trip Arc. Its title shares wording with the team known as the New Seven Ninja Swordsmen, the faction Shizuma leads.
