The Tailed Beast vs. The Tailless Tailed Beast

Leaving the Land of Iron, Danzō and his escorts Torune and Fū Yamanaka detect Ao trailing them, and Danzō orders the Byakugan seized whatever the cost. Fū parks his consciousness in a puppet, uses it as a relay, and takes over Ao's body, but when he tries to cut the eye free, Ao's talisman earrings raise a barrier only he and select Kiri ninja can undo. Fū moves to behead his own borrowed form on a blade, releasing the switch a heartbeat before the wound transfers back to his real body. The Fifth Mizukage intervenes and, sensing the deception, binds the real Ao and drives Fū out, then rounds on Ao in fury. Elsewhere, Killer B fights Kisame, whose Samehada keeps swallowing his tailed beast chakra. Kisame heals himself with the stolen power, floods the area with a giant water dome, and merges with his blade. The tide turns when Samehada takes a liking to B's chakra and gives it back, and the arriving Fourth Raikage, C, and Darui help finish the enemy off.

The Mizukage sees through Fū's possession because the impostor apologized in front of Chōjūrō and claimed she could lift a seal she cannot, and Fū retreats to beg Danzō's pardon for the failed mission. In the second fight, B cycles through his Version 1 and Version 2 states and lands a Lightning Release: Lariat, only for Kisame to keep draining him. Samehada ultimately refuses to sever B's legs and returns his chakra, and B joins the Raikage in a Double Lariat that decapitates a Kisame substitute, whose severed head marvels at their speed before the Raikage scolds B for fleeing Kumogakure.
