Waka Asachi is a Rank 2 investigator who marches into the Auction Mopping-up Operation with the Isai Squad. A specialist with thrown quinque spears, he wounds the powerful ghoul Naki before his by-the-book tactics fail him against a far deadlier foe.
Asachi keeps his hair cropped short and wears several piercings across his face.
He approaches the job by the book, sticking to textbook doctrine; alongside Sakino Mura he opts for the standard, conservative response when squaring off against an ukaku user.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

There are no women on Namek. That isn't an oversight, it's the biology. Why we handed Piccolo the one thing his own species rules out, and why it had to be trap soul....
Asachi turns up during the raid on the Auction, holding the building's exterior entrances. Hurling spear-like quinque, he lands a hit on Naki's calf, though a second throw is knocked aside before it can wound the ghoul. He and Mura then close on the SS-rated Rabbit, Ayato Kirishima, assuming the ukaku fighter would tire quickly and falter up close. The gamble proves fatal, as both men are beheaded in an instant. Asachi is modeled on one of the twenty winners of the CCG's recruitment drive, and the operation reports tie him to the idea of protection.
