Continental Magic Association

Serie raised the organization more than half a century before the present day, and it has since become the governing body over mages everywhere. It manages their ranking system, sends them out on assignments, and runs the class examinations that grade and license each caster. Certifications climb from ninth rank up to first, with anyone below the fifth still counted as an apprentice.

Beyond testing and deployment, the association may steer the schooling of mages through institutions like the Academy of Magic. Its top-tier graduates sometimes earn a chance to study directly under Serie, and first-class members are occasionally called on to proctor the exams themselves. The body keeps at least two seats of power. Its main house occupies Strahl, the continent's holy city, while a northern branch sits in Äußerst, the largest magical city of the north, where Serie often resides and the mages assigned to the Northern Plateau are based. Both Strahl and the Äußerst branch host the first-class examination.

Serie sits at the head as founder and leader. Among the apprentices drawn from the first-class ranks are Lernen, Genau, Sense, Falsch, and Methode. A long line of mages have passed through its halls as examinees and guests, including Frieren, Fern, Wirbel, Denken, and Übel, though Serie barred Frieren from every association facility for a thousand years once the first-class exam had concluded.
