A Holy Emblem, sometimes called a Holy Symbol, is a metal pendant bestowed on mages and tied to the rank of Great Mage. Frieren carries one dulled by age, while a second once belonged to Minus before it changed hands.
The emblem takes the form of a metal pendant hung from a cord. At its heart sits a diamond-shaped body etched with crossing lines and small circular figures, run through the middle by a central rod, while a pair of wing-like shapes rise from the top. Its reverse face is left perfectly smooth. The one in Frieren's keeping has gone rusty from the long span of years behind it.
Little is set down about where the emblems originate or how they first came to be. They appear to be handed to mages, and anyone who recognizes the insignia ties it to the standing of a Great Mage. A further thread appears to bind these pendants up with the Court of the Sacred Staff. Rather than conferring any spell, the artifact stands as a mark of rank and recognition.
Both Frieren and Minus, each counted among the Great Mages, came to hold an emblem of their own. The one belonging to Minus later passed to Lowe, who is said to have defeated her roughly twenty years before the Shadow Warriors were dispatched to the Empire to slay Serie. Frieren still wears hers, worn down by rust.

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....

Five Bleach female characters, ranked and settled. Yoruichi sits at number five, the spot nobody expects, and our number one is an Arrancar with a soft heart....

Yes, Frieren is counted among the Great Mages, which is why she holds a Holy Emblem of her own. The pendant is the insignia tied to that standing.
