Snowbound at the foot of the Schwer Mountains, Frieren's party shelters with Kraft, a monk and the first elf she has crossed paths with in ages. Over a long winter he asks to honor her deeds in the Goddess's place, a request that echoes one Heiter once made.
Twenty-eight years after Himmel's death, the party crosses the Decke Region when Stark collapses in a blizzard. Unable to move him by magic against the wind, they haul him to a cabin Frieren recalls from eighty years past. Inside they find an elf doing squats, and Fern recoils, certain a pervert lurks within, but the stranger opens the door and asks whether Frieren too is an elf. He is Kraft, a monk who has not met another of his kind in three centuries and resorted to exercise for warmth after losing his charcoal to the storm.
Stark wakes alarmed to find the old elf keeping him warm, then admires his clearly battle-honed build. The party helps Kraft retrieve frozen provisions from his stranded cart, and with the mountains impassable, they settle in for half a year of chores and training while the weather breaks. As spring nears, Kraft carves a pendant for Fern and talks with Frieren about the Goddess of Creation.
Kraft confesses he needs the Goddess to exist, because everyone who knew his great deeds has died and he longs to be remembered. He offers to honor Frieren himself if she will speak about her life, which stirs her memory of Heiter making the same offer after rebuilding an orphanage, having been an orphan himself. Frieren declines, saying someone already waits to honor her, a friend now in Heaven, and Kraft answers that she will see him again one day. When the thaw comes, the two elves part, Kraft vowing this is no final goodbye.
The party shelters from a blizzard in a mountain cabin and meets the elf monk Kraft. Kraft warms the stricken Stark and shares his provisions. The group waits out half a year of winter together. Kraft asks to honor Frieren's deeds in the Goddess's stead, and she declines, citing Heiter. The elves part with Kraft promising a future reunion.
The pendant Kraft carves for Fern bears twin wings, matching the one he wears and likely symbolizing the Goddess. He assumes Fern is devout because a priest raised her. A flashback confirms Heiter himself grew up an orphan and had quietly noticed Frieren's lifelong mana suppression. The whole chapter takes place in the Decke Region of the Northern Lands.

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....

Five Bleach female characters, ranked and settled. Yoruichi sits at number five, the spot nobody expects, and our number one is an Arrancar with a soft heart....
