Are You Really This Stupid?

A summer storm and Shigure's ghoulish teasing set an uneasy mood before Momiji arrives with an invitation: he has booked the family's beach house for Tohru and several of the zodiac to enjoy part of their vacation. He badgers a reluctant Kyo into tagging along.

While tutoring Tohru through her homework, Yuki notices the blue cap she treasures, and she explains it once belonged to a stranger who guided her home when she was lost as a child, its color still a comfort even though the face is long forgotten. The group departs for the shore, while Shigure lingers behind and calls the hidden Isuzu out into the open. At the beach, Hiro bristles over how much attention Tohru gives Kisa, Kyo frets condescendingly about her swimming, and Yuki, weighed down by memories of Akito's cruelty, nonetheless joins a race and beats a sulking Kyo.

When Hiro sharply questions why Tohru keeps no photo of her father, she is left in tears on the balcony until he and Kisa mend things between them. Elsewhere, Shigure calls on an ailing, heat-sick Akito, who jealously vows to teach the whole family a lesson. Back at the house, a feverish Yuki rests on the couch, gently toys with a strand of Tohru's hair, and promises that one day he will have a treasure of his own to give her, just as a flashback confirms that he was the blue-capped boy who once led her home.

This episode adapts chapters 53 through 55 to launch the manga's summer house arc, rearranging many scenes to make everything fit. Its title comes from a line of Shigure's. It aired in Japan on May 11, 2020, and in the United States on June 1, 2020, with the opening Prism and the ending Ad Meliora.
