A fresh school year begins at Kaibara High, and the campus gets an eyeful of Momiji and Hatsuharu's unconventional take on the dress code. The day turns darker when Akito, head of the Sohma house, quietly appears and reminds everyone of the fear he commands.
As her second year opens, Tohru looks forward to greeting Momiji and Hatsuharu, both entering as first-years. Kyo helps her track them down, only for the student council president, Makoto Takei, to object loudly to their appearance, unhappy that Momiji wears the girls' uniform and that Haru sports dyed-looking hair along with jewelry. To settle the argument, Haru marches Takei off to the restroom to prove his coloring is entirely natural.
The day shifts when Tohru comes upon Akito, who now leads the Sohma household, on the school grounds. Seeing Yuki grow tense and frightened in Akito's presence, she instinctively puts herself between them and pushes Akito back. Later at Shigure's home, Shigure and Hatori discuss Akito's attitude toward Tohru and recall how harshly Akito treated Yuki during their childhood.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

There are no women on Namek. That isn't an oversight, it's the biology. Why we handed Piccolo the one thing his own species rules out, and why it had to be trap soul....
Back at ease, Tohru unwinds over a game of badminton with her friends, silently addressing her late mother in her thoughts and wondering which Zodiac animal Akito might be. The episode takes its name from a remark by Akito and marks his first real appearance outside of earlier flashbacks, as well as the debut of Makoto Takei. The anime adds the shot of a limousine pulling up to the school and reworks how Akito and Tohru exchange glances, among other small departures from the manga.
In this episode, Tohru begins her second year at Kaibara High as Momiji and Hatsuharu start as first-year students. Their unconventional look draws objections from the student council, and Akito appears on campus and confronts Yuki while Tohru steps in to protect him.
Makoto Takei objects because Momiji wears the girls' uniform and Hatsuharu has dyed looking hair along with jewelry, both of which he considers dress code violations.
Seeing Yuki grow tense and frightened around Akito, Tohru instinctively places herself between them and pushes Akito back to protect him.
The title is drawn from a remark made by Akito, whose appearance in this episode marks his first real onscreen presence outside of earlier flashbacks.
