The graduating class sets off for Kyoto, though Kyo nearly skips the trip out of sheer indifference until Shigure insists he go, waxing on about young romance and the memories such outings create. Once there, gossip about budding couples fills the air. Tohru notices Arisa is preoccupied with thoughts of Kureno, and she has yet to admit that Kureno told her during a visit that he never means to see Arisa again.

When a classmate confesses to Kyo, he rebuffs her coldly, drawing scolding from his friends, and a joke that Arisa likes him unsettles them both. Out hunting for souvenirs, Tohru comes across Kyo keeping to himself to dodge crowds and the risk of transforming, and he correctly guesses she wants Zodiac figurines before inviting her to spend time together. Yuki, meanwhile, sleepwalks into a wall and is jolted awake when Kakeru needles him, leaving classmates stunned since none of them has ever watched him fumble.

Told by Yuki that souvenirs matter little because he means to make happy memories instead, Tohru answers with the confident line that gives the episode its title. On a later walk, Yuki warns Kakeru that he would never forgive him for toying with Tohru's heart, only for Kakeru to reveal he already has a girlfriend. Home again, Yuki gives Machi a red maple leaf while Tohru sculpts clay Zodiac figures, including the Cat. Drawing its story from Chapters 76 and 77, the episode trims or rearranges numerous scenes from the manga.
