Chapter 30 closes out Volume 5 with Tohru laid low by illness. As she rests, the people who care about her, from Kyo to her school friends to the Sohma family, each look for a way to nurse her back to health.
Worn down and feverish, Tohru comes down with a cold that leaves her unable to keep up her usual pace. Her condition quickly draws concern from everyone around her.
Kyo, alongside Arisa, Saki, and the members of the Sohma household, each pitch in however they can. Their scattered attempts to comfort and care for her show just how much she has come to mean to them.
Tohru falls ill and is confined to rest. Kyo, her two closest friends, and the Sohmas rally around her, with figures such as Hatori and Momiji drawn into the effort to see her recover.
