Tengen Toppa Kidknuckle is the galaxy-sized war machine Kid Coeega summons during the film's closing duel with the Granzeboma. An ape-shaped giant with broad arms and stubby legs, it swaps the guns of its earlier forms for a great fighting staff.
Kid Coeega's Tengen Toppa Gunmen takes shape in the last battle of the second movie, The Lights in the Sky are Stars. It fights side by side with Iraak's Tengen Toppa Einsaurus and is spent, along with the other giants, to raise Super Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.
The design carries over from Kid's older Kidknuckle and its Space Gunmen version, keeping the primate build of long limbs and short legs. This incarnation adds a second, monkey-like face perched on the shoulders above the usual chest face, and it trades the foot-mounted cannons of its ancestors for a long staff gripped in both hands. That pole nods to the Ruyi Jingu Bang carried by the legendary Monkey King, Sun Wukong. It is the fifth of the giants to take shape once the Granzeboma shatters Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, and beyond swinging its staff it can loose beams of light.
During the fight Kid and Iraak circle the enemy and pour fire into it together, Iraak grappling the beast while Kid lands blows with his weapon. The pair are snatched up and nearly crushed in the Granzeboma's grip until Zorthy's Tengen Toppa Sawzorthn and Makken's Tengen Toppa Mo-Shogun break them free. Afterward the machine adds its guns to the team's massed barrage before every Tengen Toppa Gunmen fuses together, ending its brief existence.
Kid Coeega is the sole pilot, fighting throughout alongside his brother Iraak in the Tengen Toppa Einsaurus.
