Prince Yuki Fan Club

The Prince Yuki Fan Club is a large collection of girls fixated on Yuki Sohma, bound together by the belief that he must never wind up with anyone. In their eyes Tohru Honda is a scheming witch and Saki Hanajima a demon shielding her. For all their obsession, not one of them stands a real chance, since Yuki eventually gives his heart to Machi Kuragi, who noticed the loneliness the club itself helped create rather than treating him as an idol.

When word spread that Tohru had walked to school beside Yuki, the members confronted her and rudely demanded an explanation, dismissing her honest reply that it was pure chance, until Hana and Uo drove them off. Later, once Tohru admits to Arisa and Saki that she lives under the same roof as Yuki, Arisa says she understands the fear that had kept Tohru silent, with the club looming in the background as the obvious source of that dread. In time they back off, unwilling to provoke Yuki now that the Sohmas count Tohru as a friend. The group also runs on a strict code, including bans on entering the Prince's home or touching his belongings, a requirement to bring at least two other members along when speaking to him, and a naming system that shifts by school year. In the 2001 version they announce themselves with a spelled-out L-O-V-E cheer before striking a dramatic pose.

Motoko Minagawa presides over the club as its president, with Minami Kinoshita serving as vice president. The broader roster takes in Mio Yamagishi, Rika Aida, Mai Iwata, and Chie, along with Mai Gotou, who appears only in the 2001 adaptation.
