Dinosaurus

In his human form, David Anders looks unremarkable, a thin and plain man easy to overlook. His other self is another matter entirely: a hulking, muscular figure with red skin, yellow eyes, and a tail, his hands and feet tipped in claws sharp enough to tear an enemy apart.

A crest rises above rows of large yellow teeth, and he wears brown trousers along with plating over his shins, shoulders, and tail.

The two minds could not be more opposed. David is a gifted but fragile scientist who has no say over what his second personality does and is left sickened by the wreckage it leaves. Genuinely sorry and often begging for help, he ends up caged for crimes that were never his choice.

Dinosaurus, by contrast, is coldly brilliant and fixated on the distant survival of the species, convinced that catastrophe and mass killing are acceptable so long as they spare greater suffering later on. Facing Invincible, he needles and provokes, dressing his attacks up as moral duty and truly believing he is rescuing the planet, even as his methods stay violent and unforgiving.

The change is triggered by his own dullness: whenever boredom or emotional flatness takes hold, Anders involuntarily becomes Dinosaurus, and keeping him entertained or socially engaged can hold the transformation off. In that form he wields considerable strength, hoisting and hurling heavy debris and briefly matching Invincible, backed by durability that lets him absorb repeated punches without lasting harm.

He moves with surprising agility for his size, leaping and dodging into sneak attacks, and his claws and razor teeth can rend flesh, as when he raked Invincible's stomach open. Beyond the muscle, his intellect is his sharpest weapon: a genius planner and tactician, he excels at manipulation, leaning on guilt and lofty moral arguments to unsettle his foes.
