Chōjūrō

Chojuro has short, tufty blue hair, dark eyes, and the pointed, shark-like teeth shared by the Mist's swordsmen. He wears square glasses fixed to a set of ear guards, a blue pinstriped shirt, and camouflage trousers, and he slings the bandage-wrapped Hiramekarei against his back with his forehead protector mounted on its holster. In his later years as Mizukage he stands taller, his jaw firmer with a little stubble, his glasses thicker-framed, and his sword now carried by a strap over only his left shoulder.

Despite belonging to an elite order of swordsmen, Chojuro began as a bashful figure who doubted his own worth and quietly idolised the Fifth Mizukage, vowing to himself that he would guard her smile. The Fourth Shinobi World War hardened his resolve, and by the time he took the office of Sixth Mizukage he had grown calm, patient, and deliberate, weighing each situation with care. Traces of his old uncertainty still linger, especially when he wrestles with citizens who cling to Kiri's harsher traditions, but he stays selfless, ready to shoulder any personal cost, and composed even while grieving.

Beneath his meek manner Chojuro is a genuinely powerful ninja, earning his place among the Seven Ninja Swordsmen and, as Mizukage, standing as arguably the finest swordsman among the five Kage. As the rightful bearer of Hiramekarei, he reshapes the blade's stored chakra into an enormous hammer, a sweeping longsword, twin blades, long-range chakra strikes, or clusters of knives strong enough to pin down Kinshiki Otsutsuki. Even armed with only an ordinary katana he proved fiercely resilient against the self-styled New Seven Swordsmen, insisting that a weapon is worth no more than the hand that holds it. He is also highly skilled in Water Release, forming a blade of water when he lacks a sword or surging great volumes of it up from below to catch enemies off guard.
