Fuen ran with Furido's crew of grave robbers, the ones who exhumed fallen Twelve Guardian Ninja to power a scheme against Konoha. A cold, arrogant fighter who leaned on terrain tricks, poison, and illusions, she met her end at the hands of Sakura Haruno.

Appearance

Fuen's signature garment was a magenta qipao patterned in black and tan stripes, worn above pale purple stockings. Blue-eyed, she framed her gaze with an orange-toned smokey shadow and wore bold red on her lips. Her dark brown hair hung long and straight, the hairline at the front held flat with tape, and she rounded out the look with spherical earrings and a choker at her throat.

Personality

The sharpest mind on Furido's crew, Fuen carried herself with a touch of condescension. Fights bored her quickly, and out of sheer vanity she would toy with whoever she was up against, taking special delight when a mark bolted from one of her traps. In her duel with Sakura she made plain her disdain for other girls, branding them a nuisance.

History

Fuen fought from range, preferring to win through cunning setups rather than brute strength. Her hallmark was an unnamed Earth Release skill that let her warp the surrounding ground by way of topographic maps she sketched and kept rolled in scrolls, each one bound to the real terrain so she could stall and outmaneuver an enemy; a planted tracker let her pinpoint and strike a target at will. She could also slip through solid stone, thrust stone lances up from below, and cordon off a whole village with her Castle Closing Eight Gates barrier. Poison rounded out her repertoire, and she wove it into her illusions to make them deadlier and more believable.

Fuen joined Fudō and the others in robbing the Twelve Guardian Ninja's tombs, making off with four sealed corpses, those of Seito and Tōu together with Kitane and Nauma. Furido meant to reanimate the four and compel them to fire off Limelight, a technique able to wipe out villages in seconds. Once Team 7 gave chase, Fuen dropped back with Fudō and Fūka to stall them while Furido pushed ahead with the corpses. After Fudō conjured a maze of rock, she faced Sai, treated the bout as amusement, and destroyed one of the ink clones he had conjured.

When the strike on Konoha opened, Fuen sealed the village so nobody could flee, then set out to cut down any interference, which brought Sakura Haruno into her path. She caught Sakura in a poison-laced swarm of illusory moths and closed in for the finish, only to discover she had hit a substitute. The genuine Sakura had already run simulations and downed an antidote; she spat that Fuen was a sick freak and slammed a fist into her hard enough to smash her through the trees. A follow-up strike to the chest killed her on the spot, and the barrier caging the village fell away with her.
