Princess D

Princess D keeps her brown hair in a short bob and has fair skin and dark brown eyes. Her look centers on a big red gown, cinched with a large pink bow and topped by two white blossoms at the shoulders, along with long gloves, a pearl necklace set with a red gem, gold earrings, and a gold crown crowned by a rose. Over her eyes she wears the same kind of oversized swirled glasses as Umino.

She is a bashful young woman who, according to a newspaper piece Luna reads, dislikes the press. Her eyesight is so poor that she leans on very thick glasses, once again echoing Umino. Her trip to Japan is for a formal dinner at her kingdom's embassy in Tokyo, where she intends to show off her country's mysterious secret treasure.

Nephrite, Tuxedo Mask, Luna, and the Sailor Guardians all suspect that the treasure could be the Silver Crystal and that Princess D might be the princess they seek, so each of them moves to slip into the gathering. Naru Osaka, whose mother is a jeweler, is a guest, and Nephrite possesses her and sends her after the treasure; his spirit then abandons Naru to take over the princess instead.

Princess D bolts from the room to hand the treasure to Nephrite but is intercepted by Tuxedo Mask and the Guardians. Sailor Mars drives the spirit out with her Akuryo Taisan attack, and the princess drops unconscious. She recalls nothing of the possession when she wakes to Sailor Moon's aid. When Luna asks whether she is the sought-after princess, she cannot even tell who is speaking, having lost her glasses; once she puts them back on and sees that a cat addressed her, she shrieks and faints, leading Luna to decide she is not the one. Later she presents the true treasure, a two-thousand-carat diamond cut into her own likeness.
