Summary
Shiki Kijima, Nimura Furuta, Haise Sasaki, and the Quinx Squad cut down ghouls across the Tsukiyama Estate. Tsukiyama reluctantly bids his friends farewell as they urge him toward a rooftop helicopter meant to carry him to safety. Koori Ui dispatches Sasaki to that same roof, where the two come face to face. Sasaki demands surrender, but Tsukiyama attacks instead.
Inside the hideout, a now-deranged Kanae von Rosewald turns on the CCG investigators. Hairu Ihei, badly wounded by Matsumae, makes a final stand and is decapitated. Kijima arrives only to be sliced apart by Matsumae using his own quinque. Furuta shields himself with another agent as a human shield, then kills Matsumae with Kijima's weapon, while the Quinx Squad meets the towering Noro.

Sasaki battles Tsukiyama, and in a lapse he loses a hand to a strike from Kanae. Ginshi Shirazu destroys Noro, yet the creature does not die. As Kanae tries to finish Sasaki, he recalls Kishou Arima mocking his earlier defeat. Sasaki breaks free, and Kanae is revealed to be a woman named Karren. In the aftermath Eto arrives on the scene in her One-Eyed Owl form.
