Yuuna Okuyama

In her younger years Yuuna is a little girl with red hair cropped to chin length and lilac eyes, and she wears a flower clip fastened to the left of her head, a gift from Miyamura. Her debut outfit is an orange sweater layered atop a white buttoned shirt and a skirt.

By the time skip she has grown into a teenager of about average height. Her hair now reaches the middle of her back; she pins her bangs and either ties or clips the rest back, leaving a few chin-length strands loose to either side of her face.

Compared with Sōta, Yuuna comes across as strikingly mature for her age. Where he is trusting and carefree, she leans cynical and wary, often chiding him and their classmates for acting childish, though much of her sharpness traces back to self-consciousness about her forehead, which she believes is too large. Her outlook softens after Miyamura tells her that she looks pretty.

Yuuna and Sōta start out as classmates in the same kindergarten grade, where she bullies him over his sister complex, but Miyamura's kindness reframes their relationship and the pair end up friends. The insecurity about her forehead never fully leaves her; she carries that self-doubt along even after she has grown into a teenager.
