Chapter 95

With the library closing for the day, Sakura Kouno and Remi Ayasaki head out together, chatting about Remi's insistence that she can manage her math work without extra tutoring. When Remi slips off to the restroom, Sakura and Kakeru Sengoku seize the moment to walk home as a pair, crossing paths with Kyouko Hori and Yuki Yoshikawa on their way out of the classroom.

Once the two have gone, Remi comes back asking after them, and Hori panics. Her radar for anything romantic flares to life, sending her into a flustered scramble to disguise where the pair went, while Yoshikawa looks on and quietly enjoys the spectacle.

At a fast-food place nearby, Tooru Ishikawa spots Sakura and Sengoku settling at a table with no Remi in sight, and notices Sakura toting a bag of some kind. He passes the observation along to Syu Iura, who lights up and convinces himself an opening with Remi has finally arrived. Iura's loud reaction carries across the room and pulls Sengoku over, who tracks the pair down and orders them to breathe not a word to Remi. A rattled Iura vows on his life to keep silent.

The next day Sakura dangles an incentive: score sixty or higher on the math mock test and he will buy Remi premium cookies. She pours in the effort and comes away with fifty-eight, a huge jump from her earlier scores under forty. Sakura hands her the cookies regardless, revealing what the mystery bag had been holding all along.

The reward turns into a small celebration as the two share the treats, though Sengoku seethes at being cut out of the spoils, having gone along to help buy them in the first place.
