King Aquarus is the fishlike Atlantean monarch and founding Guardian of the Globe who treated heroics as a break from ruling. A hydrokinetic warrior beloved by his teammates, he is among those slaughtered when Omni-Man turns on the Guardians, his head crushed by War Woman's mace.
Aquarus shares the fishlike shape of every Atlantean, fins running from his back and arms and skin colored mostly blue. He typically wore a suit of Atlantean gear plated in green and white with yellow trim, plus the standard Guardians wristband that flashed an alert whenever the team was needed. Like others of his race he breathed as easily on land as underwater and could swim at tremendous speed.
Aquarus seemed to treat his place among the Guardians as a source of fun, lighting up whenever headquarters signaled a mission, and he left the day-to-day rule of his kingdom largely to his wife. For all that neglect he was decent at heart, genuinely fond of his teammates and horrified by what Omni-Man did to them.
Born into Atlantis, Aquarus shared its throne with Aquaria but spent much of his time above the waves, first defending his undersea realm and later joining the Guardians of the Globe, where he leaned toward land-based missions and let his queen run the kingdom. He fought the Lizard League alongside the Immortal, War Woman, and Black Samson, and helped repel the Mauler Twins' assault on the White House, blasting foes with streams of water drawn from his hydrokinetic power.
His end came when Omni-Man lured the Guardians to their headquarters and turned on them. Aquarus watched in horror as his friends fell, managing to pin Omni-Man briefly with a water blast, but when War Woman's mace was knocked into the air, Omni-Man snatched it and drove it into Aquarus's skull, killing him instantly. Global Defense Agency medics later tried and failed to revive him with a sealant, and his name was read among the dead at the Guardians' memorial, which his widow Aquaria attended.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

There are no women on Namek. That isn't an oversight, it's the biology. Why we handed Piccolo the one thing his own species rules out, and why it had to be trap soul....

Aquarus fights with hydrokinetic power, blasting enemies with streams of water, and swims at tremendous speed, but he proves no match for Omni-Man, who kills him instantly during the Guardians' massacre despite Aquarus briefly pinning him with a water blast.
During the Guardians of the Globe's fateful meeting, Omni-Man turns on the team, and after War Woman's mace is knocked into the air, Omni-Man grabs it and drives it into Aquarus's skull, killing him instantly.
As a founding Guardian of the Globe, Aquarus fought alongside the Immortal, War Woman, and Black Samson against threats like the Lizard League and the Mauler Twins, treating his time as a hero as an escape from ruling Atlantis, which he left mostly to his wife Aquaria.
As an Atlantean, Aquarus can breathe both on land and underwater, swim at tremendous speed, and control water to blast enemies with powerful streams.
