Becky Duvall

Becky is a slim but curvy woman with pale skin, shoulder-length black hair, dark blue eyes, and full lips, the shadowed bags beneath her eyes betraying her grief and simmering hatred of Invincible. Her outfit is plain: a blue-gray long-sleeved top with a subtle V-neck, gray pants, and beige shoes.

Once a devoted wife and tender mother, Becky is calm at home and quick to soothe her son Jack when he is frightened. The catastrophe in Chicago warps that warmth into obsession, and like her husband she comes to blame both Omni-Man and Invincible for the family's loss.

Her loyalty curdles into enablement: rather than seek safety or move on, she stays to help Scott chase revenge and dresses the crusade up as justice. She assists his planning and knowingly puts herself and Jack in harm's way, going as far as a staged kidnapping meant to bait Invincible. Convinced to the end that she is pursuing justice and shielding her husband, she instead lets fear and grief drive the choices that doom both her and her son.

Little is known of Becky's early life beyond her marriage to Scott Duvall and the birth of their son Jack; she builds a quiet life around her family until the battle in Chicago shatters it. When Scott turns to vengeance, Becky backs him rather than pull away, aiding his theft of experimental power-storage discs from the Global Defense Agency and personally implanting them in his body to boost his energy absorption.

After his first outing as Powerplex fails to lure Invincible, she steers him toward a memorial event certain to draw the hero, soothing Jack when Scott's rage flares. When that scheme also collapses, she refuses to flee with Jack and instead helps devise a fake hostage situation, staged in the very building where Scott lost his sister and niece. Invincible arrives to rescue them, unaware of their identities; Becky spits in his face and brands him a monster before Powerplex seizes him and looses a massive energy burst meant to kill him. Invincible survives, but the blast incinerates Becky and Jack. A weeping Powerplex still blames Invincible for their deaths, and after his defeat he is locked away at Payton Penitentiary while a guilt-stricken Invincible carries the weight of the tragedy.
