Phase Two

The series records little of his temperament, and his single spoken line is what defines him. Raised to feel inferior beside his gifted elder sister, he lashes out at the endless praise heaped on Atom Eve while he and his siblings are branded disappointments. That resentment, born of being made to compete with a child everyone considered perfect, is the clearest glimpse the show offers of who he was.

His engineered body is malleable, letting him reshape his own flesh at will. He can also draw outside objects into his form, fusing foreign matter with his own tissue. That same instability proved fatal, however, since his physiology could not hold itself together for long before it began to break down.

He was created shortly after his older sister, sharing his origin with three younger siblings raised inside the same program. A handler named Rodgers injected him during sessions meant to force him to focus and settle into a stable form, but the boy struggled to comply despite his efforts. When Steven Erickson watched one test, he brushed aside the child's knack for preserving worn skin and bone as beside the point, since what he demanded was a subject able to warp reality itself. Told to return to his stasis pod before he could stay awake too long, Phase Two obediently walked back to confinement.

He was eventually turned loose alongside Phase Three and Phase Four to hunt down Atom Eve. The mission collapsed, and his failing body dissolved as he clung to her, ending his short life.
