Prof. Ock

He presents as an elderly, fragile man, an impression convincing enough that Invincible mistook him for a helpless old victim. His defining feature is a bulky metal helmet fitted with four mechanical, tentacle-like arms, a design that openly nods to an octopus.

Built by his own considerable intellect, the tentacle helmet lets him command four mechanical limbs for both mid-range strikes and added mobility. The appendages are deceptively strong, capable of landing glancing damage even on someone as tough as Invincible. He also proved resilient, shaking off a hit from Agent Spider and a surprise takedown to rejoin the fight. As an inventor and presumed academic, he is credited with genius-level cleverness.

Details of his past are scarce. He is understood to hold some professorial or doctoral rank and to have engineered his tentacled helmet to further his crimes, clashing repeatedly with Agent Spider. During one alley brawl with that hero, a portal tore open and dropped Invincible into his world, sending the newcomer crashing into him. Fooled by his aged, brittle look, Invincible assumed Agent Spider was menacing an innocent old man, which gave Ock the opening to strike from behind. The two heroes are implied to have joined forces and beaten him soon afterward.
