Thula

Tall and pale, Thula betrays her true age only through gray hair and a few faint lines; otherwise she looks remarkably young. Discipline and power show in her lean, toned frame, and her hair grows enormously long, braided tight into a single rope.

In her soldiering days she dons the classic gray-and-white uniform of her people, a slim, close-cut suit built to menace foes and to cut through the sky at speed. On Earth she trades it for plain civilian clothing to move unnoticed among humans.

Ruthless and unwavering, Thula is defined above all by her devotion to the Empire and its savage code. She prizes strength and efficiency, dismisses compassion as weakness, and holds that the weak have earned death. For all her outward calm, cold pragmatism guides her, and she reaches violent decisions the instant a mission calls for them. Her speech is blunt and pointed, leaving almost nothing open to negotiation, and she keeps her word from principle rather than feeling, honoring a vow even when it means a quick kill.

Cruel though she is, recklessness is not in her nature. On the battlefield nothing wears her down, she draws out captives with patience, and even her savagery is carried out by careful method. Duty to the Empire eclipses every other concern, mercy and morality included. She takes no pleasure in a fight for its own sake, treating it instead as an obligation, and once someone crosses her she answers at once, feeling neither doubt nor regret.

Being Viltrumite grants Thula the full suite of her species' superhuman traits, each growing stronger with age and time in battle. Her strength is immense: with Lucan and Vidor she easily subdued Allen the Alien, and she outclassed a still-untrained Invincible in their first meeting before he barely reversed the fight. She shrugs off strikes from Mark and Nolan alike, crosses a whole planet in minutes, endures the vacuum of space, and heals so thoroughly that a jaw Nolan shattered knit back together.

Rounding out her biology are slowed aging, razor-sharp senses, vast lung capacity, and almost no need to eat. As an elite warrior she fights with a strange, precise, tireless style, and her trademark tool is the Blade Braid, a rope of hair tipped with a blade tough enough to cut through other Viltrumites, wielded by turns as whip, lasso, and sword to trap, throttle, or slash. Like every Viltrumite she can be undone by high-frequency sound, by enemies as mighty as herself, and by the Scourge Virus.
