I Thought You'd Never Shut Up

Conquest and Invincible tear across the city in a savage brawl, the Viltrumite openly craving a worthy opponent rather than acting as an empire's envoy. He drives Mark through buildings and slams down with force enough to level whole districts and kill thousands. Watching the broadcast, Oliver races in to help his brother, but the two quickly discover Conquest is far stronger than he lets on as he demands Mark embrace his Viltrumite blood. When Conquest nearly kills Oliver, Mark saves him again, and the arrival of Cecil and the GDA brings word that Eve has awakened.

Despite Cecil's warnings, Atom Eve joins the fight. She holds her own until Conquest adapts, cracks her armor apart, and beats her nearly to death. Invincible, his femur shattered, catches her fatally wounded body and frantically pleads for Cecil's help while Conquest studies their bond with cruel fascination.

With nothing left to lose, Mark threatens Conquest and swears he will not live to see the future. As their fists collide, Mark's forearm snaps while Conquest's prosthetic arm shatters. A pink aura then knits Eve's broken body back together, and though Conquest pins Mark and confides his deep loneliness, revealing that other Viltrumites fear him and that Conquest is only a purpose rather than a true name, Eve reemerges to unleash an energy blast that burns away most of his skin. Mark seizes the opening, headbutting Conquest again and again until his skull is crushed to pulp. The two lovers exchange declarations of love before losing consciousness as the Guardians, Tech Jacket, Capes Inc., and the GDA arrive.

Three days later Eve explains that her near-death ordeal lifted lifelong limits on her powers. Mark orders Conquest's body burned, though Cecil secretly preserves the corpse in a Mojave base, intending to interrogate it about the empire. The heroes mourn Rex Splode, prompting Robot to adopt the name Rex Conners, while a grieving Shrinking Rae keeps her distance. Later, Mark and Eve reunite, unaware that her powers cause his discarded clothes to melt. A post-credits scene shows Damien Darkblood summoning a dark entity. The eighth and final episode of the third season, and the twenty-fourth overall, its title references a comic issue, and it stands as the series' highest-rated episode on IMDb.
