Global Defense Agency Soldiers

These paramilitary troops form the standing muscle of the Global Defense Agency, the anonymous soldiers who carry out its ground operations. They came into existence alongside the agency itself, purpose-built to work its missions. Encased in heavy armor and equipped for combat, they handle the tasks that fall between what superheroes can cover and what ordinary law enforcement cannot.

Their duties center on securing dangerous scenes and confronting hostile forces on the agency's behalf. After Omni-Man slaughtered the Guardians of the Globe, it was these troops who arrived to lock down the site, none of them aware that Nolan had been the killer. In a divergent reality the same soldiers can be glimpsed arming themselves as an intruder broke into the cell holding Invincible. Across the seasons they clash with the Lizard League, the Mauler Twins, Damien Darkblood, and Omni-Man himself.

Cecil Stedman and Donald Ferguson direct the troops, who otherwise remain a nameless collective drawn from many recruits. Their gear marks them clearly: hardened body armor and Kevlar-style helmets that shield the face from enemy fire, twin neon-green star badges on the shoulders, and utility loadouts on the belt. Specialist scientists also produced stealth armor to let them move unseen on missions, and the soldiers typically carry assault rifles into a fight.
