Jane

Jane wears her straight blonde hair loose and unfussy, and her complexion sits in a light-to-medium range. For the dig she dresses for function, a coat layered over a plain top with trousers, and a small beetle is tattooed on her arm just below the wrist.

Faith defines much of what the series lets us see of her. Raised to venerate Ka-Hor exactly as her father had, she carries that devotion into adulthood, and coming upon his corpse inside the tomb moves her to quiet grief.

What little is known of Jane's earlier life centers on her father, a fervent follower of Ka-Hor whose beliefs she inherited, and through that shared faith she grew close to Riley. In 2023 the pair located Ka-Hor's buried temple and forced their way inside on Riley's strength, only to become trapped. Pressing deeper, they came upon the remains of Jane's father, and she paused to mourn him. Ka-Hor then stirred back to life, but the spirit dismissed both women outright, insisting he needed a male host to return, which prompted Riley to brand him a bigot. Their argument was cut short when Invincible, tearing across the Egyptian sky in a fit of despair, kicked up a sandstorm that sealed the two of them inside with the spirit. Months on, during the Invincible War, a brawl between the Immortal and one of Invincible's evil doubles ripped the tomb open again. Riley, sustained by her own powers, hauled a badly weakened Jane out into the desert in search of help, pausing only to throw Ka-Hor's misogyny back in his face. Jane is understood to have pulled through.
