Aqua Necklace is the Stand of Anjuro Katagiri in Diamond is Unbreakable. A liquid-bodied Stand that can imitate any fluid, it slips into victims through their mouths to shred them from within or seize control of their bodies, making a single sip of it a near-certain death sentence.
Aqua Necklace serves Anjuro Katagiri, better known as Angelo, and appears in Diamond is Unbreakable. It manifests as a short humanoid dotted with eyes across its body, a design that nods to the Dogū figurines of the late Jōmon period. Most often it takes a liquid shape of shifting size, sometimes as large as a child and sometimes small enough to hide in a flask, and it is usually colored blue to suit its watery nature. It shows little personality of its own, though Angelo occasionally speaks through it.
The Stand's fluid state makes it slippery and adaptable while keeping it lethal, since it can still rip apart a person's insides. Ordinary attacks such as punches pass through it harmlessly and it simply reforms. It can disguise itself as any liquid and take on that substance's traits, showing up as water, brandy, or even vapor that drifts like a sentient cloud. Angelo uses this to trick targets into swallowing it, then either ravages their organs or turns to its second power.
That secondary ability is possession. By forcing its way in through the mouth, Aqua Necklace can take over a person from the inside and act through their body, at one point holding someone hostage for sport. The Stand does have limits: it cannot pierce a rubber glove, any damage it takes passes back to Angelo, and he must stay near enough to direct it.
Anjuro Katagiri is the only user. His Stand emerges after Keicho Nijimura draws the Arrow from his mouth, and it drives his early clash with Josuke Higashikata before being sealed away inside a rubber glove.
Aqua Necklace takes its name from Aqua, a 1998 album by the rock band Asia, while its humanoid, eye dotted design nods to Dogu figurines from the late Jomon period.
